The Orbit is the first XDA model which has been designed by O2, and comes with built-in GPS and is bundled with navigation software. The XDA Orbit is a nifty Pocket PC with loads of in-built good features. There are six main areas of functionality within the device:

The O2 XDA Orbit is a Quad band GSM/GPS/EDGE PDA phone with Texas Instruments OMAP 850 200 MHz processor. Its physical features include TFT touch screen, 240 x 320 pixels, 65K colors display, 64MB of RAM, 128MB of Flash ROM, MicroSD (TransFlash) expansion slot. With Pocket Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and running Microsoft® Windows® Mobile™ 5.0 PocketPC OS, one can manage both personal and official works with an ease. Microsoft® Windows® Mobile™ 5.0 software allows the user to send & receive Microsoft® push emails directly & instantly. The handset weighs 129 grams; its weight (lightweight) gives an extra edge for all well equipped XDA mobile phone.

The built in camera feature provides the user with a 2 mega pixels camera with both zoom & flash features. The user can use the camera to take still photographs or to record video footage. The O2 XDA Orbit can record video footage in MPEG4 format & the user can play video footage on their handset.

The phone also comes with a GPS satellite navigation receiver which requires satellite navigation software. This additional stance can be purchased by users to access extra functionality provided by Orbit.

The Orbit comes with a built in music player feature which can play MP3 music files & brings entertainment with music that you are ever likely to hear on your handset. The music doesn't stop with MP3 but with the phone comes extra-refined feature i.e. with a FM radio you have option for six radio presets. The user can use the built in music features to enjoy music on the go & the user can store their favorite MP3 on the phone memory. The phone comes with 128 Mbytes of (ROM) memory plus with 64 Mbytes of (RAM) memory on a MiniSD™ memory card.

The XDA Orbit comes with a standard battery which will provide approximately 5 hours of talk time & up to 200 hours of standby time.

The WAP browser allows the users a direct connection to the Internet and access to Internet based information & services. The user can connect to other compatible devices using a Bluetooth™ wireless connection. The phone comes with wireless LAN & GPRS class 10. The built in speaker & microphone provides the user with a hands free option while communicating with others.
